So lots of good news ...
I got a job! I'm going to be online editor at The Reflector (MSU student newspaper) next semester. It's the job Sara Mc has now. From what I hear, it's copy editing, putting the paper online, and being annoyed at how no one meets their deadlines. I edited my old school newspaper (The Iowa State Daily), so it's not as random as it sounds.
I got a car! It's an iddle biddle 1991 green Saturn four door with 103,000 miles. It's all shiny and new-looking. I got it at Millsaps. We haggled them down to below Blue Book value, but then had to pay more for tax and fees. My grandpa gave me $1,000 to put toward the car, but I still owe my dad a ton. So bye-bye Reflector money.
I got presents! Jeffy gave me this beautiful pink-sapphire-and-diamond necklace and matching earrings for our anniversary. They're really gorgeous. I love my baby. I will take pictures of the presents and the car -- with the new digital camera I got Jeff -- and post them soon. You know, when I get around to it.

So, Jeff and I were hanging out with a bunch of friends. Perhaps drinking. And we were running low on beverages, so we sent a friend (who will go unnamed) to make a beverage-store run in Jeff's car. That friend then somehow managed to smash into my parked car, crumbling the back of it and crushing the front end into a tree. So my car is a fucking wreck.
I called my dad, because that's what I tend to do in emergency situations. He said we should call the police. We went online, and figured out that if we called the cops, it would go on Jeff's insurance, which has a $1,000 premium. We estimate the damage at around $1,000 or less. Also, our friend may or may not have been intoxicated at the time, and we didn't want to get him in trouble.
So we're going to get an estimate on the car, and the friend will pay me back slowly every payday. The car isn't really drivable -- the front end is smashed in so that the metal scrapes against the tire every time you turn left slightly. My car was a piece of shit to begin with (a 1988 Toyota Corolla, with only 70,000 miles, and it's a stick shift, which gives me bragging rights but means Jeff can't borrow it), but it's the only car I've ever owned. And I've never so much as dented it.
I'm pretty upset. Poor car! I hope my friend pays me back ... fuck.

I was a little scared of having some strange person move in, but she seems to be a good mix of not-too-weird and not-too-normal. Jeff wants to keep up the Naked_House tradition around her, but I would rather be Temporarily_Clothed_House than Socially_Awkward_House.
Autumn made a fan pic for Jeff and not me. :'( <--CRYING! Do you see that, Autumn? My icon goes out to YOU.

So archer_of_topaz/Autumn and oneangrypossum/Justin had this little party at their ghetto shack. Jeff brings them a bottle of Tequila, and I tell Autumn it has a worm in it. Autumn has never heard of such a thing and is quite upset. "Why would Jeff give us alcohol with a bug in it?" she asks. "That's so mean!"

So Jeff and I are going out for sushi tonight to celebrate our anniversary. Our first date was for sushi (at the now-defunct Hane Yumei Ya). Well, it wasn't really a date, as Nelson was there too ... but it ended up being the first night we hooked up*, so revisionist history says it was a date. :)
Jeff was snoring so loudly earlier, I wish I had a paid account so I could make a Voice Post recording of it. It was truly a miracle of nature, the noise coming out of that boy.
Update on the sickness: We got a thermometer and don't have fevers, so that rules out Strep Throat. It's most likely Tonsillitis, which is usually a viral infection rather than bacterial and thus can't be treated with antibiotics. So no need for doctors' visits ... except for my trusted physician WebMD.
Better go wake the boy so we can get silly-drunk on plum wine and commemorate our six months of Love.

Went to the casino in Philadephia (Mississippi) for angrywhitegirl's birthday ... I came out $20.50 ahead. I was the only one to make money ... yay me! I played blackjack. I'm a decent card player. Here's a pic of me celebrating after I kicked everyone's ass playing poker at Crispy's:

Also, I got As in both my classes! I had to take a make-up test for Human Sexuality during finals from when I was dying of flu/bronchitis. The make-up was essay questions instead of multiple choice. The final exam took me about 10-15 minutes, and the make-up exam took over two hours. I screwed up a lot of answers, too. I'm guessing she just skimmed my 10 handwritten pages and decided on an A.
Jeff and my 6-month anniversary is Tuesday. ♥ Nick (Ian's brother) said of all the couples he knows, we're the most *fingers-crossed.* It made me feel good, cuz we're totally fingers-crossed and it's nice to have your fingers-crossed-ness appreciated.
Last bit of good news ... ashley_april is gonna put some more pink streaks in my hair. Yay pink! We're gonna have a hairdyeing/girly party with elleanna and archer_of_topaz. Anyone else wanna come?

So ... I have this love/obsession with gay boys that borders on creepy. For one thing, it's far too trendy. And it's offensive -- Ooh, fags! They're so this season! Gotta get one to go with my Balenciaga bag!
But they're so fun! Especially at this age. It's like ... they spend so many years being repressed and in the closet, that when they come out, they come way out.

The housewarming party was fabulous! I'm so glad you all came, and almost everyone dressed up ... yayness! The fun lasted till 6 a.m., though Jeff was passed out drunk by then.
Everyone who didn't show sucks. I'll forgive the out-of-towners and also Jennifer since she had the kids. I accept that as a valid excuse.
I'm sure Jeff would've liked it to get kinkier, but I think there was an appropriate level of inappropriateness.
Some highlights:
*Birthday boy morwok was the first to hang out and looked quite suave in his eBay robe.
*deronde and archer_of_topaz wore the exact same satiny/lace outfits, only in different colors. It was hard to decide who looked hotter.
*theimitation had the biggest titties of all, even bigger than wonderkunt's.
*I didn't get to see novimber's duct tape. :(
*aconstipateape was supposed to be our bouncer in case any creep guys showed up, and I almost had to make him bounce deronde. Tsk, tsk.
*lombrosis=Lieutenant Sexy.
*mattwq440 made a blink-and-you-missed-it appearance, much as he does on LJ.
*I convinced atronomy101 to wear The Silky Red Shorts of Unknown Origin. And later he threatened to smash Jeff's camera. But no smash, we have pics -- for blackmailing purposes, of course.
*oneangrypossum passed out in the living room. Then I made a nice bed for him upstairs, and Thom came and molested him. Justin said, "If I throw up, it's only because I like German porn."
*I was mesmerized by elleanna's booty in the air as she played Twister.
*elleanna is hot.
